Background
For over 20 years, Journey Learning helped client organizations improve communication skills, productivity, and profitability in numerous business environments. Early on, it occured to our founder, Steve Von Hoene, that many of these skills were what teenagers needed to get on the right track and succeed in life.
In 2009, Steve piloted the first LifePREP cohort. 10 juniors and seniors from various schools and walks of life came together and worked on accomplishing their Dreams together. Some did great, others struggled. All learned important life skills and life lessons. To a person, the kids loved it! And the parents echoed their sentiments. The new chapter in Journey Learning's mission had begun.
And then it stalled. A couple of programs with some adult business clients were moderately successful. But demands and success in the corporate training space took us away from growing this important program.
16 years later, after a second prompting, it was reborn in it's current format and is being offered exclusively to teens.

Steve founded Journey Learning with over 21 years of sales, management, and training experience with three industry leaders. Formerly the Vice President of National Accounts for Carew International, he enjoyed great success in a wide range of industries, consulting and facilitating sales, customer service, and leadership programs with Fortune 500 companies in the United States and abroad. Prior to Carew, Steve’s rich experience with Cintas Corporation and Hubert Company gave him solid backgrounds in operational management and marketing.
With a passion for helping teenagers get on a good, firm path for success in life, Steve transitioned his corporate skills into a meaningful, reality-based life skills program: LifePREP.
Steve’s ability to blend his real-world experience and caring personality with LifePREP’s solid content makes him an invaluable resource to our "Friends".
